A Professional Mechanical Engineer, Niall has been tinkering in this field since he got his first electric bike in 2014. In 2017 he stepped it up by buying a damaged Tesla & getting it fixed against the odds. He now spends his days surrounded by EV batteries of all flavours. Prior to curating The Infinite Monkey Lab he has worked as an EV Engineer with contracts ranging from executing Blue Car’s Leaf Battery upgrade project (on time, budget & with successful technical outcome) through training Japanese Teslas to accept New Zealand electrons to upgrading ‘Evie’, Mercury’s 1957 Ford Fairlane EV conversion. He publishes some of his work & play on YouTube as ‘Raglan’s Electric Baboon’.

A MSc in electrical engineering and information technology who has lost his ways and ended up as an embedded software engineer, Sam helps us to come up with a sane software architecture in his spare time. It helps that he has used an oscilloscope on a few occasions since he started tinkering with embedded systems in 2003
